Sam Elsherbini

Managing Member

Sam Elsherbini is a dedicated attorney who blends legal skill with a deep sense of service and advocacy. While some people choose to become an attorney for money, status, and power, Sam choose to become an attorney to help the “little guy.” Now, more than ever, people need advocates to help them achieve the American Dream by making sure those in power respect their rights under the United States Constitution.

Born in New York City and raised in Jersey City, New Jersey, Sam was the first child of Egyptian Muslim immigrants. His father (an NYPD forensic scientist with a PhD in chemistry) and his mother (a teacher with a masters in language education) instilled strong core values in their three sons: hard work, higher education, and community involvement. Most of all, they made sure their boys saw that race, religion, and other differences among our neighbors were learning opportunities, not barriers. This made Sam and his brothers curious, not judgmental.

Sam earned a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Rutgers University and practiced as a pharmacist manager for 13 years in New Jersey and North Carolina. Although he helped many people, Sam saw firsthand how insurance companies did not always do what was best for the patient, how employers did not always respect the dignity of their workers, and how the government did not always protect their citizens and residents. These experiences led Sam back to school, earning a Juris Doctor / Masters of Business Administration dual degree from the Charlotte School of Law and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

After spending five years as a senior internal investigator at Bank of America, Sam consulted for other financial institutions, investment firms, and law firms in matters including antitrust, financial fraud, multi-district litigation, class actions torts, corporate investigations, and pharmaceutical litigation. Sam then opened Elsherbini Law PLLC and has since litigated more than 100 criminal, civil, and family law cases across North Carolina.

Today, like his parents before him, Sam strives to be a good example to his three sons of the rewards of hard work, education, community, and inclusivity. When Sam is not representing his clients to the best of his ability, he is coaching his boys’ sports teams, leading their Boy Scouts activities, and providing pro bono legal services for underserved populations.
